Today is WORLD AIDS DAY! A day to remember and to fight! A day to think and to make a difference! Browsing thru the AIDS VANCOUVER site I saw this slideshow with 78 pictures that brings back the memory of the pathway this wonderful organization has taken throughtout the years. I am so glad, because I was able to be a part of all this for a year or so and I know I made a difference. When I look back, so much has gone by, so many people have left their marks in our lives. I still miss most of them. There is still a lot, really a lot to be done. I was in Vancouver in 1995-96, period in which I worked as a volunteer in the care team, under the supervision of Ben (Sorry Ben, I do not remember your last name, but I do remember you with love and care). Ian Benner and Alison Ivan were great with me, helping me going thru the first steps at AIDS VANCOUVER. I remember the busy days of the XI International Conference on AIDS, from July 7 to 12, 1996. Remarkable. Lets take a moment today and think about what we are doing to help. Ask yourself: "Am I doing my part on this?" No matter how little you think your contribution may be, it might mean the world to someone else!
